Software for research papers..?..

I’ve been looking for software to organize my notes for a few research papers I am working on. So fare I haven’t been able to find anything that allows me to track notes and their source. There is plenty of software to help me make a biblography, but nothing to allow me to add notes.

I did find Research Paper Helper, but the interface seem a bit confusing on Mac OS X. bibDesk looked pretty good, but I cannot add any notes to the sources. You would think that there would be some software out there that would let me do this.

Any thoughts? Do I have to write this software myself?

Hi - In bibdesk, you can add notes to the references - use the Annote field.
In the editor window for a reference, there is a tab called “Annote”.
You can also define any other field you want and use it how you like.
I have a field that says whether or not I’ve read the paper yet, for instance.

If you have other questions, the bibdesk-users mailing list on sourceforge is a good resource.

Also, if you’ve got the inclination to write bibliography software, I’d suggest working on bibdesk - we could use the help, and there’s no point to reinventing wheels!

    Thanks,

Looks like NKU has been a good time for you.
Uh oh, half the comments are heinous blogspam,
did you get my mail or did it fall into a spam trap?
